Oh the excitement was all over our house this beautiful morning. Tyson started his first day as a BIG first grader. He got up without me having to drag his body off the bed, was dressed and ready to go faster than I had expected. (I know this won't last for long, but I am going to enjoy this happy attitude as long as I can.) He couldn't wait to go to school, see old friends and make news ones. He asked me about 50 questions last night about what his teacher will have him do, and where he will be putting his stuff and where he will sit....etc. The bombardment of questions went on and on. And, of course, I had no answers for him. All I could say was, "You will have to wait till you get to school tomorrow."
Taryn was also up, dressed and ready to go to school. She was a bit heartbroken that she couldn't stay with Tyson at school. Ahhhhh. So cute. She loves her big brother and wants to do everything he does. The traffic was just as crazy this first day as it was last year, and so we decided that we had better leave our house 10 minutes earlier tomorrow. GEEZE! Oh well, the joys of living in a city.
On a side note, I finally finished my first class. YES! And I passed it with an A! I have never had a solid A in any college class, they were A-. I was thrilled. All the late nights of studying and worrying paid off. I now have one more class to take in the winter and then I can reinstate my teaching license and begin teaching again!
