I Didn't Buy Them

I was asked where I bought these decedent treats last night at book club and I am happy to say that I MADE THEM!  Of course it took all day and several botches batches of batter, but yes, I made them all by myself. My mother-in-law gave me the cream puff recipe and at first I wasn't too sure I was making it right, but they did turn out fabulous.  The little cupcakes were another matter.  I wanted to make red velvet cupcakes, but they didn't turn out; all three times.  Betty Crocker to the rescue, and not a moment too soon.  I was so glad I had that.  I finished the cupcakes with the little sugar cut outs just in time for book club.  Whew!
On a side note, the little cut outs were made with my Cricut Cake machine.  My mother-in-law gave it to me for Christmas and I haven't had the opportunity to use it until now.  It takes a bit of figuring out to get it to do what you want, but it finally did what I wanted.  I get to try it out this weekend on Tyson's birthday.  Hopefully it works!

Tyson's 5th Tooth

Another one!  If he keeps loosing teeth like this, the kid is going to look like an old man.  He is almost a "gummer". He showed Vaughn and I that he had another loose tooth.  We told him to just leave it alone and it would come out.  That is not good enough for Tyson.  He wiggled it all night and finally pulled it with his fingers.  I was flabbergasted!  He pitched such a fit the last time we pulled a tooth, that I couldn't believe that he was the "puller".  Now he can't eat anything on that side of his mouth, because, as he puts it "I can't chew it."  Oh boy!

My Little Helper

Everyone decided they wanted me to make cookies, so....I did!  My little helper ate, more than she helped. She kept trying to stick her hands in the batter.  (Little pill)
Finally I gave her the whisk and let her eat the cookie dough off of it.  She was in heaven.  I was then dubbed the "Best Mom Ever."  And all it took was some cookie dough.  Go figure!

First Time At The Dentist

Look at those pearly white teeth.  She was SUCH a good girl while we were at the dentist.  They cleaned, took x-rays and examined her teeth and she never moved or made a peep.  The dentist and staff were amazed at how well she acted and were shocked when they learned that she is only 3.  (yes, I am tooting a horn here.  That is my girl!)
After the dentist we went to story time, but I think she was a little tired from being up at six to get Tyson to school and then rushing to make it to the dentist by eight.  She looks a little groggy in this picture.  What a little trooper.

First Day of 2nd Grade

Tyson is officially a 2nd grader at CBES.  I just about cried this morning when I dropped him off at school.  He is getting to be such a big boy.  I just want him to stay little. (:  He was all smiles this morning.  He was ready to go and had his backpack on before eating breakfast.
This year he didn't want me walking him to his classroom because he is a BIG KID now!  So, I got to drop him off at the school doors and he went inside.  SAD!  Taryn is a bit lost without her buddy, but soon she will start school and that will help.  (He is a handsome kid!)
